TOP QUARTERBACK

Luke Getsy, Akron

The junior from Pennsylvania led the Zips to a huge, overtime upset victory over MAC rival Northern Illinois on Saturday. Getsy completed 20 of 39 passes for 406 yards and five TDs without throwing an INT in the 48-42 win.

Runner-Up: Sam Keller, Arizona State

TOP RUNNING BACK

Javon Ringer, Michigan State

The freshman out of Dayton, Ohio helped the Spartans claim a 61-14 win over Illinois on Saturday afternoon. Ringer ran just 13 times on the day but for 194 yards, an average of nearly 15 yards per carry.

Runner-Up: Kalvin McRae, Ohio

TOP WIDE RECEIVER

Derek Hagan, Arizona State

The senior all-PAC 10 receiver out of California was key in the Sun Devils' win at Oregon State this weekend. Hagan hauled in eleven passes for 193 yards (17.5 per catch) and a pair of touchdowns in the 42-24 victory.

Runner-Up: Jeff Samardzija, Notre Dame

TOP TEAM

Virginia Tech

The Hokies took another huge step towards proving they are a national title contender this year with a 51-7 dismantling of ACC rival Georgia Tech on Saturday. Tech, now 4-0, will visit West Virginia next weekend.

Runner-Up: Wyoming

TOP GAME

Minnsota over Purdue

The Golden Gophers proved they will be a force in the Big Ten race this fall in a double-overtime thriller over Purdue. Down seven, UM rallied for a TD late in regulation and then held off the Boilers in the second OT.

Runner-Up: Wisconsin over Michigan

TOP UPSET

South Florida over Louisville

The Bulls scored the first 21 points of the game and handed Louisville its first loss since last October when the Cardinals were taken down by Miami. The Bulls are now 3-1 and will visit the Hurricanes next Saturday.

Runner-Up: North Carolina over NC State
