TOP QB
Matt Leinart, Southern Cal
Leinart led the Trojans to a huge win at home over Notre Dame Saturday night. The junior completed 24 of 34 passes for 400 yards and 5 touchdowns without throwing an INT. A win over UCLA this week sends USC to Miami.
Runner-Up: Joshua Cribbs, Kent State
TOP RB
Eric Shelton, Louisville
Shelton had a huge day on the ground as the Cardinals crushed Cincinnati 70-7 on Saturday. The junior from Lexington ran just 10 times but for 158 yards (15.8 AVG) and a touchdown in the victory.
Runner-Up: Diamond Ferri, Syracuse
TOP WR
Chad Owens, Hawaii
For the second straight week, a Hawaii receiver earns this honor. Owens led the Warriors to a big home win over Northwestern on Saturday. The senior caught 9 passes for 155 yards (17.2 AVG) and 4 touchdowns.
Runner-Up: Lance Moore, Toledo
TOP TEAM
Syracuse
With any hope for a bowl on the line, the Orange went into Boston College and spanked the Eagles. There was also a little extra incentive as Syracuse didn't want to let BC have the BCS berth on their way out the Big East door.
Runner-Up: Virginia Tech
TOP GAME
West Virginia at Pittsburgh
ESPN dumped the Egg Bowl for this matchup, and they got a good (but not necessarily pretty) matchup. The Mountaineers led most of the way, but the Panthers scored their only offensive TD with 4 minutes left to win.
Runner-Up: Kentucky at Tennessee
TOP UPSET
Arizona over Arizona State
The Wildcats had won only two games all season but pulled off the home upset over in-state rival Arizona State on Friday. A 47-yard TD pass in the fourth put UA up by fourteen, and the 'Cats hung on for the victory.
Runner-Up: Missouri over Iowa State
