Walter led the Sun Devils to a big PAC 10 win over Stanford. The senior from Phoenix completed 28 of 42 passes for 415 yards and four touchdowns while throwing just one INT in the contest.
Runner-Up: Lester Ricard, Tulane

Andre Hall, South Florida
Hall helped South Florida rally to upset UAB on Wednesday night. The junior from St. Petersburg ran the ball 29 times for 275 yards (9.5 yards per carry) and two touchdowns on the evening.

Eric Deslauriers, Eastern Michigan
Deslauriers was involved in one of the best games of the weekend as EMU knocked off rival CMU in four OTs. The sophomore from Canada hauled in 14 passes for 207 yards (14.8 AVG) and four TDs in the win.

Iowa State
After starting out the season 2-4, Iowa State has roared back to win three straight and is now sitting in a tie atop the Big XII North standings. The Cyclones' latest victory came at home over Nebraska.

Marshall at Akron
Down twenty-one points, the Zips roared back to tie the game up late. Trying to run out the clock and force overtime, Marshall fumbled deep in its own territory, allowing Akron to kick the game-winning field goal.

TOP UPSET
Notre Dame over Tennessee
The Vols had been rolling since their loss to Auburn over a month ago. However, UT dropped another home game this past weekend, this one at the hands of Notre Dame. The Irish became bowl eligible with the win.
