Darrell Hackney, UAB
Hackney completed 21 of 31 passes for almost 400 yards as the Blazers knocked off Memphis. The junior also threw for three TDs and just one INT on the night.
Runner-Up: Kyle Orton, Purdue

Taurean Henderson, Texas Tech
Henderson ran the ball 17 times for 169 yards (9.9 AVG) as the Red Raiders came from behind to beat Kansas. The junior scored 2 TDs and also had four pass receptions in the contest.

Dante Ridgeway, Ball State
Ridgeway, one of the nation's premier WRs, hauled in 9 passes for 217 yards (24.1 AVG) against Western Michigan. A junior, Ridgeway also scored three TDs in BSU's win.

Some thougth the Cardinals might have a tough time on the road at North Carolina after the Tar Heels smashed Georgia Tech a week ago. UofL promptly went out and spanked UNC 34-0.

Washington State at Arizona
It looked as if Mike Stoops was going to get his first big win, but as UA was attempting to drain the clock, the Cats fumbled. WSU returned it for a TD, but an inadvertent whistle brought it back. WSU scored the winning TD just a few plays later.

South Florida over TCU
The Bulls scored a touchdown late in the fourth quarter to tie the game. In the second overtime, USF scored a TD, and TCU soon followed with six of their own. However, the PAT snap was botched, and South Florida came away with the huge CUSA victory.
