Andrew Walter, Arizona State

Walter completed 31 of 43 passes Saturday for 428 yards as ASU clobbered Iowa. Five of the senior's passes went into the endzone for touchdowns as the Sun Devils stayed unbeaten.

Runner-Up: Bruce Gradkowski, Toledo

TOP RB

Maurice Drew, UCLA

Maurice Drew, a sophomore from Oakland, had a career day against Washington. Drew ran 26 times for 322 yards (12.4 average) and 5 TDs to lead the Bruins to the victory.

Runner-Up: Jacque Lewis, North Carolina

TOP WR

Troy Williamson, South Carolina

Williamson hauled in 5 passes for 210 yards on Saturday against South Florida. The junior scored 3 TDs as the Gamecocks picked up the win over the Bulls by a score of 34-3.

Runner-Up: Jarrett Hicks, Texas Tech

TOP TEAM

Arizona State

The Sun Devils smashed Iowa, who was supposed to be one of the Big Ten's better teams, by a score of 44-7. Andrew Walter look great and could be in the process of leading ASU to a special season.

Runner-Up: Ohio State

TOP GAME

LSU at Auburn

Hyped as the national game of the week by SCS.com and others, the Tigers vs Tigers matchup proved to be worthy. Auburn tied the game at 9 with just a minute left and then had to shots at the extra point to win.

Runner-Up: Florida at Tennessee

TOP UPSET

Maine over Mississippi State

The Sylvester Croom era has gotten off to a rough start in Starkville. After a season-opening win over Tulane, MSU was clobbered by Auburn and then knocked off by the D-IAA Black Bears.

Runner-Up: North Carolina over Georgia Tech
