Kyle Orton, Purdue
Orton completed 23 of his 26 passes on Saturday as the Boilers knocked off Ball State. A senior, Orton totaled 329 passing yards and threw five touchdown passes on the day.
Runner-Up: Adam Barmann, Kansas

Richard Hall, Cincinnati
Hall rushed just 14 times but for 238 yards (a 17.0 yard per carry average) as the Bearcats knocked off in-state rival Miami (Ohio). The senior also scored three TDs.

Santonio Holmes, Ohio State
Holmes caught ten passes for a total of 218 yards on Saturday as Ohio State escaped with a victory over Marshall. Just a sophomore, Holmes also hauled in a couple of touchdown catches.

Fresno State
The WAC's Bulldogs are one of the nation's biggest giant-killers. After knocking off Washington in Seattle last week, FSU went to Manhattan and spanked Kansas State by 24 points.

Georgia Tech at Clemson
Down 24-14, Tech scored a late TD to get within three points. A Clemson punt snap was botched with less than 30 seconds to go, and GT scored the winning TD on the next play.

Troy over Missouri
The Trojans earn this honor for the second straight week. After falling behind 14-0, Troy roared back to stun the Missouri Tigers and Heisman hopeful Brad Smith by a score of 24-14.
