GUARD
Patrick Sparks, Kentucky
Sparks helped the 'Cats to a huge win on the road at in-state rival Louisville on Saturday. The true freshman had 25 points on the day on 5 of 8 shooting from behind the arc. He was also a perfect 4 for 4 from the free-throw line.
GUARD
Chris Paul, Wake Forest
Paul played a huge role in the Deacons' win over Texas in Winston-Salem Saturday. The sophomore scored 23 points on the afternoon, including 3 of 5 from three-point land. Paul also dished out a dozen assits in the contest.
FORWARD
Dijon Thompson, UCLA
Thompson's play helped lead the Bruins past Michigan Saturday afternoon in Los Angeles. The senior tallied 29 points in the game and was 12-14 from the field. Thompson also notched ten rebounds in UCLA's victory over the Wolves.
FORWARD
Jasper Johnson, Southern Miss
Johnson led an upset of LSU by the Golden Eagles on the Gulf Coast Saturday afternoon. The junior scored 27 points and was 11 of 15 shooting on the day. Johnson pulled down 10 boards on his way to a double-double against the Tigers.
CENTER
Wayne Simien, Kansas
Simien helped the Jayhawks slip past South Carolina Saturday night in Lawrence. The preseason all-American scored 20 points and also pulled down 11 rebounds to aid in the effort. Simien also had a block in the KU victory.
