GUARD
Donnie McGrath, Providence
McGrath led the Friars to a non-conference win over Virginia Wednesday night. The junior scored 27 points, shooting a perfect nine of nine from the field. All nine shots taken by the New York native came from behind the three-point arc. McGrath also had five boards and dished out seven assists.
Runner-Up: Jarrius Jackson, Texas Tech : 25 PTS, 7 AST
GUARD
Alex Gordon, Vanderbilt
Gordon helped the Commodores claim a victory over in-state rival Tennessee on Wednesday. The freshman poured in 30 points on eight of eleven shooting from the field. The Florida native, who also grabbed three rebounds, was five of seven from downtown and nine of eleven from the charity stripe.
Runner-Up: Chris Paul, Wake Forest : 23 PTS, 5 STL
FORWARD
Ike Diogu, Arizona State
Diogu was unstoppable for the Sun Devils in a Thursday victory over PAC 10 rival Stanford. The junior rammed home 39 points on sixteen of twenty-six shooting from the floor. The Garland, TX native also grabbed 11 rebounds, blocked two shots, and had a couple of steals in the ASU win.
Runner-Up: Sharrod Ford, Clemson : 25 PTS, 10 REB
FORWARD
Chris Taft, Pittsburgh
Taft was huge for the Panthers in a Big East victory over Providence on Monday. The sophomore scored 25 points thanks to eleven of sixteen shooting. The Brooklyn, NY native also grabbed a stunning 15 rebounds, was perfect from the free-throw line, and had a blocked shot and an assist.
Runner-Up: Demario Eddins, UAB : 23 PTS, 8-10 FG
FORWARD
Taj Gray, Oklahoma
Gray helped the Sooners slide past Texas A&M in Norman on Wednesday evening. The junior dumped in 24 points and made all but one shot he took on the night. The Wichita, KS native pulled down 13 boards, made eight free-throws, and had three blocked shots, a steal, and an assist in the victory.
Runner-Up: Joey Graham, Oklahoma State : 23 PTS, 10 REB
