THE WORK FORCE...SEC STAFF INTRODUCING BRENT MEYER... I graduated from the University of Georgia in 2001. I bleed red and black, and nothing gets me fired up more then a fall Saturday in the south. Nothing gets me going more then some good 'ole college football or basketball, but I am not prejudice against any sports. I love them all! Some of my favorite Bulldog memories include the 1997 Georgia victory at "The World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party," the 2002 SEC Championship, and the 2001-2002 Georgia hoops team. Nothing beats SEC football. Heck, we have five of the top eight stadiums in the country in terms of attendance. It's a great atmosphere, and finally our basketball is being nationally recognized as some of the best in the country. While at Georgia, I started, along with a few others, the University of Georgia Water Ski Team. Collegiate waterskiing doesn't get the recognition is deserves, and nothing beats a tournament weekend in the fall or the spring. Take a look at www.sacskiing.com. Since my days at Georgia, I have received my master's degree from the University of Chicago, which is where I currently reside. I get excited each year because that means a new full season of sports. Thanks for visiting, and GO DAWGS! INTRODUCING ROB MILLS... Age: 28 DOB: March 18, 1976 in Montgomery, AL Marital Status: Married, with two children (10 and 3 months) Education: Graduated from The University Of Tennessee in December, 2001 with Bachelor's Degrees in Logistics and Marketing. Hobbies: Computer games, Playstation 2, reading novels (I read around 10-20 novels a year), playing guitar, and of course sports. Favorite Sports: College Football, NASCAR, NFL, college basketball, college baseball, MLB Favorite Teams: University Of Tennessee, New Mexico State University, Atlanta Falcons, Indianapolis Colts, Atlanta Braves, Boston Red Sox, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, and Casey Kahne. I am a lifelong fan of the University Of Tennessee, having spent my life predominately in the state of Tennessee. I have also lived in California, Alabama, New Mexico, and Virginia. I am a manager with a transportation company. My professional writing experience amounts to two years on the newspaper staff at my high school in Las Cruces, New Mexico. I contemplated majoring in Journalism at New Mexico State but eventually went into Marketing and then to a double major in Logistics and transferred to the University of Tennessee. I met my wife while a student at UT, and we are now married with two wonderful children. I like the college game much more than the pro game in all sports because I feel like it is a more pure game in college. I am a numbers buff and love to compile stats and break down the numbers to look for the edges to victory that the casual observer might not catch. |
