THE WORK FORCE...BIG EAST STAFF INTRODUCING MATT ALLEVATO ... My name is Matt, and I'm 16 years old and a junior in high school. Some other writing experiences I have are writing for my school newspaper and the school website. I was checking out this site, and since then, I have always wanted to write for SouthernCollegeSports.com. My favorite team is West Virginia, as I've been a die hard my entire life. As for my favorite sports moment, I'd say it was probably this past year when WVU upset the number three ranked Hokies of Virginia Tech at Mountaineer Field. I regularly attend every home football game at WVU and am looking forward to this great oppurtunity to write for my favorite conference, the Big East. INTRODUCING BRAD COOPER... First and foremost, I'm a West Virginia Mountaineer. I've missed 5 home games since I was 5 years old (my first season being 1987) and try to attend as many away games as possible. I'm also a follower of the Southern California Trojans, which is easy since WVU never plays USC. I'm a 22 year old college student at Mountain State University, with a double major in Psychology and Criminal Justice. In addition to being a Mountaineer fan, my other favorite teams include the Atlanta Braves, Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Los Angeles Lakers. I absolutely detest bandwagon fans, so I've been with those teams in the good years and the bad. There were a lot of those with the Braves in the 1980's! My favorite college football moment was the 1988 Mountaineer win over Penn State, led by my favorite player, Major Harris, at Mountaineer Field in Morgantown. Outside of college football, my time is spent working in radio, reading 3 books per month, playing the latest edition of NCAA Football on the PS2, and listening to good music in between. |
