Junior QB Ben Roethlisberger threw touchdown passes of 53, 21, 16, and 55 yards, each to a different WR. He also had a MAC Championship Game record 440 yards passing. With those totals, he became only the second MAC QB ever to throw for 4,000 yards in a season; the other was Marhsall's Byron Leftwich.

Junior RB Walter Reyes helped Syracuse finish up their regular season with an even-.500 record by rushing for five TDs Saturday. His TD runs of 2, 3, 15, 71, and 3 yards gave him 21 rushing touchdowns on the season to go along with 1,347 rushing yards. He set a school record for career rushing TDs (38) and points scored in a season (134).

Freshman WR Steve Smith helped the Southern Cal Trojans finish up their regular season schedule with a win and keep USC in the hunt for an appearance in this year's national title game. His third quarter 73 yard touchdown reception from QB Matt Leinart gave the Trojans momentum and a 42-21 lead in the game.
