Contest Information 2003 Pick 'Em Contest Info

2003 Pick ‘Em Contest -- The College Football Pick ‘Em Contest is beginning its third season this fall. Each of the past two years, over 40 people have signed up to play. You can view some info from previous years' contests by returning to the main page, scrolling down, and finding the archive section in the left column.

The contest this year will be very similar to the one we've had the past two seasons. Particpants pick the winner of each of twenty games every weekend. Jonathan will pick the top twenty matchups in college football each week, usually one and possibly two mid-week games, and 18-19 Saturday contests. Conference championship games and bowl contests are also picked which brings the total number of games picked to around 300 by season’s end.

One problem with last year’s contest was that people signed up but then either never picked or quit by the middle of the season, making the contest less competitive and less fun for everyone involved. There are no requirements to play, except that by sending me your sign-up form, each participant is guaranteeing that he/she will submit their picks each and every week, therefore keeping the contest fun and competitive for everyone.

There will be a “Pick ‘Em Profile Page” where I will list all the contestants' names, age, home state, and favorite college team to let everyone know who they’re competing against. Most of the time, I will post the new and updated standings as well as the 20 games to pick for the coming week on Sunday evening . Since we’ll often pick a Thursday night game, picks will almost always be due by Wednesday night at 10:00 PM CDT, giving everyone approximately three full days to submit their picks.

There are no prizes for the champion, and the contets is just for fun. There is also no entry fee, other than I ask that you pass along the address of this site to all your friends. You can do that very simply be returning to the main page, scrolling down to the bottom of the left column, and click on "Recommend"

The first week we will pick games will be the weekend of August 30th. I will almost always send out an email each week to notify you when the updated standings and new games for the upcoming week have been posted. I want to thank you for taking time to check out the site.

The sign-up deadline has passed!
