Here is the ultimate college football Saturday schedule. These are the best games of each and every Saturday this fall!
DATE
GAME
August 24
Texas Tech at Ohio State
This is a great matchup of the Big XII vs Big Ten and could have effects on the national scene. Both of these teams will be ranked in the top 25, but both also have difficult schedules.
August 31
Washington at Michigan
This is another matchup of cross-country teams, this time the Big Ten vs PAC 10. Both of these schools should be ranked in the top fifteen and have shots at the national title.
September 7
Miami at Florida
This Big East vs SEC matchup is also a game of two in-state rivals. These teams could both be in the top ten. This is the ‘Canes first of three extremely tough OOC games.
September 14
Washington State at Ohio State
Again, the PAC 10 vs Big Ten. Both of these teams have high expectations this season. WSU has a great shot to pull out the PAC 10 title while OSU could win the Big Ten.
September 21
Florida at Tennessee
This game may not be quite as huge as normal this year since the SEC East will be extremely crowded at the top. The Vols need to find a way to win two years in a row.
September 28
Michigan at Illinois
The Illini were able to win the Big Ten last year thanks to Michigan’s loss to Ohio State. Now the Wolverines pay a visit to the Illini in a huge Big Ten matchup.
October 5
Georgia at Alabama
This is not one of the biggest matchups in the country this year but the best game this weekend. Both of these teams could win their respective divisions of the SEC.
October 12
Oklahoma vs Texas
This is one of the top two weekends this year. How can you turn down Florida State at Miami and Tennessee at Georgia to go along with this one. Big XII South will be won here.
October 19
Colorado State at Utah
We take a step back from the major conferences to see this Mountain West contest. The winner here should have the inside track to the conference title.
October 26
Alabama at Tennessee
This rivalry is huge, and the fact that both of these teams should be pretty good makes it that much better. Tennessee should be the favorite at home.
November 2
Colorado at Oklahoma
This is the other of the top two weekends. A rematch could follow in the Big XII Championship Game. Other key matchups this weekend: Michigan State at Michigan, Texas at Nebraska, Florida vs Georgia, Tennessee at South Carolina. What a weekend!
November 9
Miami at Tennessee
This one should have huge national title implications. Miam has finally reached the end of that murderous non-conference schedule. This one just beat out Oregon at Washington State.
November 16
Washington at Oregon
These teams already hate each other. Since they’ll be near the top of the PAC 10 standings, this will be a war. As a side, don’t forget to check out the Texas at Texas Tech battle.
November 23
Washington at Washington State
Depending on what happened the week before, this one could be for the PAC 10 title and possibly more. It’s a rivalry game with major implications in 2002. Michigan at Ohio State this same day could decide the Big Ten.
November 30
Florida at Florida State
Both of these teams will have made it through their league slates just to get to this matchup. Whoever wins here may still have a shot at making the Fiesta Bowl.
December 7
Virginia Tech at Miami
There aren’t many of games to choose from this weekend, but this should be good. Miami may or may not already have the Big East title wrapped up. Even so, they’ll likely need a win here to stay in the hunt for the Fiesta Bowl.
