SCS.com RETURNS WITH A FULL HOUSE
August 16, 2004

SouthernCollegeSports.com is back after a brief timeout for clean-up and remodeling. A complete staff of two dozen writers will be at your service beginning with the 2004 college football season.

If there is one word that describes the SCS.com staff, that word is variety. Twenty-four people are on staff writing about college sports for you, the college sports fan, and those twenty-four people bring with them different team affiliations, different age groups, and different levels of experience.

The SCS.com staff is coming at you from all over the United States. We've got writers from as far west as California and Oregon and from as far east as West Virginia. Our staff hails from as far north as Minnesota and as far south as Florida and Mississippi. We have staff members who were born in Alaska, New Zealand, and England, and yet another member who has lived in Alberta, Canada. If there is anything going on in Division I college sports, this staff will know about it....and then let you know about it.

Even the ages of our staff represent a wide spectrum. Though a couple of our writers are as young as sixteen years old and still in high school, we have members of the SCS.com staff who are nearly twenty years past their younger days spent on campuses around the country.

A large portion of our staff is made up of aspiring journalists. In fact, several are attending colleges like Southern Oregon University and the University of Minnesota right now, working towards degrees in sports journalism. We've got graduates of schools as large as the University of Southern California, Ohio State University, and Florida State University. We've also got graduates of smaller schools like the University of Louisiana-Lafayette and Brown University.

As far as writing experience goes, quite honestly, some have it and some don't. What we all have, however, is a love for college sports. A few of our writers have written for school newspapers and websites, and a few more have written stories for local newspapers. Then we have the more experienced staff members who have worked for national websites like Rivals.com. There's even a lawyer on the staff!

The staff as a whole would like to thank you for taking time to visit SouthernCollegeSports.com. We are working hard to make it a site that all college fans can enjoy. But to do that, we also need your help. Spread the word about SouthernCollegeSports.com. Send out an email to friends, link to our articles on your team's message board, and please take time to sign-up for our message board, The College Corner. Registration takes about 30 seconds, and you can start smack-talking right away. And don't forget that the SCS.com Pick 'Em Contest is back for the third straight year. That's yet another great way that SCS.com is involving you, the college sports fan, in all that we do.

Thanks again for visiting. If you ever have any questions, comments, or suggestions, don't hesitate to contact me or any member of the staff. Have a great day, and we hope to have you back as soon as possible!
