Brady Quinn, Notre Dame

The Dublin, Ohio junior led the Irish to a huge road win at Purdue Saturday evening. Quinn completed 29 of 36 passes for 440 yards and a trio of touchdowns as Notre Dame picked up the 49-28 victory.

Runner-Up: Zac Taylor, Nebraska

TOP RUNNING BACK

LenDale White, Southern Cal

The junior from Denver, Colorado was a large part of the Trojans' road win at Arizona State on Saturday. White dashed for 197 yards on 19 carries (10.4 YPC) and a pair of touchdowns in the 38-28 USC win.

Runner-Up: DeAngelo Williams, Memphis

TOP WIDE RECEIVER

Tyrone Prothro, Alabama

The junior was QB Brodie Croyle's favorite target Saturday afternoon in a 31-3 win over Florida. Prothro hauled in five passes for 134 yards (26.8 YPC) and two touchdowns before leaving the game in the fourth quarter with a broken leg.

Runner-Up: Mike Hass, Oregon State

Alabama

The Tide moved to 5-0 on the season with a 31-3 thrasing of Florida in Tuscaloosa on Saturday. After a week off, UA makes a trip to Mississippi before returning home to face Tennessee in a huge SEC showdown on October 22.

Michigan over Michigan State

UM kicker Garrett Rivas missed a field goal attempt in the final minute of regulation but redeemed himself in overtime to give Michigan the huge 34-31 road win over in-state rival Michigan State on Saturday.

Runner-Up: Nebraska over Iowa State

TOP UPSET

Middle Tennessee over Vanderbilt

The Commodores were attempting to go 5-0 for the first time in more than sixty years, but a last-second Blue Raider field goal by kicker Jeremiah Weaver ended Vandy's hopes, sending MTSU home with a 17-15 upset victory.

Runner-Up: Wake Forest over Clemson
