SCS.COM STAFF WELCOMES THREE
October 13, 2005

As college football season reaches its midpoint and with the beginning of the 2005-2006 NCAA basketball season now just a few weeks away, SouthernCollegeSports.com is pleased to announce the addition of three new writers to its staff. All three will be regional staff writers, covering an individual sport in a specific area of the country. With the new additions, the SCS.com staff now includes a total of five members, with one additional member expected to be named before the start of basketball season in early November.

Reed is a student at Texas Tech University and will cover the western half of the country for the remainder of football season. The Agricultural Communications major will be taking over that assignment for Jeremy, who recently left the SCS.com staff. The first of Reed's weekly columns will debut later this week.

Jeff is a student at the University of Delaware and is an experienced college basketball writer. He currently operates a website of his own, March Madness All Season, and will be in charge of SCS.com's Hoops Preview '05 series, set to begin early next week. Jeff's weekly column, which will begin in early November, will cover college basketball happenings in the northern United States.

Cortney is a graduate of and now an instructor at Western Kentucky University. Like Jeff, Cortney also operates a college basketball site of his own, called The Bracket Board. His weekly column on SCS.com, set to start in early November, will focus on college hoops in the southern United States.

In addition to Jeff and Cortney covering the Northern and Southern regions, respectively, SCS.com also has plans to announce a Western reporter in the coming weeks. That person has yet to be determined but will be announced once that decision has been made.
