ACC

The ACC Tournament kicks off Monday morning at 10:00 AM CST. Wake Forest and Duke go head-to-head in game one, while Virginia Tech and Maryland will hit the field at 2:00 PM CST. The winners of those two games will then meet at 7:00 PM CST Tuesday. The survivor of day one will have the opportunity to take on top-seeded Georgia Tech at 6:00 PM CST Wednesday. The full slate of activity gets underway Wednesday. Miami and NC State take the field first, followed by Clemson and Virginia in game two. Florida State and North Carolina will play the third game of the day before Tech wraps up day two of the ACC Tournament. Live stats for tomorrow's ACC games can be found by clicking HERE.

OTHER NOTES

....The in-depth conference tournament page has now been updated with a daily schedule for each event as well as a summary on the effect each conference tournament will have on the NCAA selections later this week. You can find that info by clicking the following link: Conference Tournaments In-Depth

....Sixteen additional league tournaments will get underway on Wednesday, most notably those in the Atlantic Sun, Big South, Big Ten, Big XII, Conference USA, SEC, and Sun Belt.

....Four more tournaments hit the field on Thursday, including the Big East's event in Bridgewater, NJ. The Big West is the final league to get their event underway, that taking place on Friday.

....A half-dozen leagues will crown their tournament champion on Sunday, the same day the sixteen regional host sites are announced by the NCAA. Those selections will be made known at 2:30 PM CST on ESPN2.

....Then on Monday at 10:30 AM CST on ESPN2, the NCAA Selection Show will air, releasing the entire sixty-four team field for this year's tournament.

....And speaking of the regionals, it has come to light in recent weeks that the NCAA has changed the format of those events this spring. Instead of the two games on Friday, three on Saturday, and one (plus one if necessary) on Sunday, the regionals will now have the following format:

  FRIDAY:
    Game 1: (1) Seed vs (4) Seed
    Game 2: (2) Seed vs (3) Seed
  SATURDAY:
    Game 3: Friday Losers
    Game 4: Friday Winners
  SUNDAY:
Game 5: Game 3 Winner vs Game 4 Loser
    Game 6: Championship Game
  MONDAY:
Game 7: Championship Game (if necessary)
