NCAA Implications: Just a single MEAC team will be invited to this spring's NCAA regionals. Bethune-Cookman, who was unbeaten in conference play this season, is the favorite to take home the title. Defending champion and this year's host Norfolk State was the only other squad to finish above .500 in conference activity.

NCAA Implications: Only one SWAC team will earn a NCAA berth in 2006. MVSU, who won the regular season title by three full games with a 20-4 mark, is the favorite. Prairie View A&M, Southern U., and Texas Southern are the only other teams to win at least 15 league games this spring.
