Thank you very much for taking time to visit SouthernCollegeSports.com. We, fans of college sports, are working hard to make SCS.com a place where fans like you can find work done by other fans that provides an insight into what's happening on the field.

To tell you a little about myself, I am a student at Mississippi College, located in Clinton, Mississippi. I have grown up a huge Mississippi State fan and love the Dawgs with a passion.

A few of my favorite MSU memories include the 1999 23-20 come-from-behind victory over Mississippi on Thanksgiving night, State's 4-1 win over the Rebels in the 2005 SEC Baseball Tournament championship game, and the Bulldogs' one-point, overtime win on the road at Alabama in March of 2004 to win the overall SEC basketball title.

Once again, I want to thank you for visiting SCS.com. Please tell a friend or two about the site, visit us often, and let us know how we can make this site better for you!

I'm an 18-year-old freshman at the University of Missouri with an unhealthy obsession over college basketball. The 2009-2010 hoops season marks my third year as a writer for SouthernCollegeSports.com. I hail from St. Louis, where I developed an early childhood love for the Missouri Tigers. I'll try to forget about my allegiances as much as possible in my writing. Of course, sometimes you just can't resist a nice KU jab.

My hope is that I can convey through my columns how much I truly enjoy watching, discussing and analyzing college hoops. I welcome reader feedback and promise to respond to every single email that I receive. All you have to do is click "Contact Daniel" in the upper right corner of each article. Rip away at me all you want. I can handle it.

I am a 25-year old attorney working in patents, copyrights, and trademarks out of Cincinnati, Ohio. After growing up in eastern Iowa, I attended The Ohio State University for seven memorable years. The best experiences I've had at football games were OSU-Texas in 2005 and all the OSU-Michigan games in the past seven seasons. I also enjoy cheering on the Ohio Bobcats, Iowa Hawkeyes, and West Virginia Mountaineers when I'm not being an impartial sportswriter.

In my spare time, I play a lot of tennis. I'm also a frequent bowler and World of Warcraft player, but the best days of my life have started with the birth of a beautiful daughter Paige Elizabeth. I'm in my fourth full season here at SCS.com, and I bring you the anchor national column every week with a dash of humor and perspective. When possible, I will continue my goal to see every Big Ten stadium from the press box as well as many other regional stadiums. Whenever I go to a game, I'll let you know and you'll get a bonus article detailing the experience. Thanks for reading and good luck to your favorite school!

I am a 21-year old writer currently living in Tallahassee, Florida. I’m currently on hiatus from Florida State University, where I’ve been majoring in English since the fall of 2003.

I’m originally from West Point, Mississippi and my mom graduated from Mississippi State, so it was just natural for me to be a Bulldog fan from an early age. I’d say that I’m the biggest MSU fan around, but that’s just a matter of opinion. Being here in Tallahassee for the past few years, I’ve also become a pretty big Seminoles fan as well. It doesn’t hurt that Dick Howser Stadium is right down the street from me.

I’m a huge sports fan overall, but I live for college sports, baseball especially. I remember going to my first game at Dudy Noble when I was 13 and smiling the entire time. I have plenty of good Bulldog memories, from Richard Lee, Adam Piatt, and Eric Dubose leading the way to Omaha in ’97, State’s SEC Tourney victories in ’01 and ’05, the SEC overall basketball title two years ago, and the Independence Bowl win over Texas A&M in 2000. But nothing can compare to Dudy Noble in the spring.

I’ve written for CollegeBaseballInsider.com the past couple of seasons, and I also contribute to Vainquer Teens Magazine and Dawgsbite.com. I also write fiction stories and am pursuing a career as an author and/or sports journalist.

But above all else, I’m a sports fan, and that’s why I’m here. Feel free to contact me anytime, or send me hate mail, if you’d like.

I am a Financial Manager by day and a huge college sports fan by evening and weekends. I live in Easton, PA and graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Business Logistics. I still hold season tickets to PSU games and enjoy nothing better than spending the day on campus at a Nittany Lion home game.

I have been watching and enjoying college football as long as I can remember. One of my goals is to travel around the country and visit college campuses to see a new college team every season. My most recent visit was to the University of Washington; it's really a great setting for college football in Seattle. I also am the editor for a collegiate wrestling website and enjoy traveling to as many matches that I can make it to during the year and always attend the NCAA championships ever year in March. Feel free to contact me via e-mail.

I am a 34 year old senior at the University of Georgia. In December of this year, I will graduate with a degree in Business Education. I have worked in a systems analysis role for the past 10+ years. I started working during the Y2K buzz of the late 90's and have been in the field ever since. About three years ago, I decided to start pursuing my dream of taking the reins of a college baseball program. I figured that I might not strike oil right away and figured that I might have to start at a high school, thus the education degree.

My first love is Mississippi State as I graduated from Southaven High School; however, I do hold a place in my heart for the Eastern Division Bulldogs. When they play one another, maroon comes before red and black.

Some of my favorite sports memories:

  • 1983 AFC Championship Game for the Seattle Seahawks
  • Watching all the Mississippi State games on their run to the 1996 NCAA Final Four
  • 1998 SEC West Football Championship for Mississippi State
  • 2002 World Series Champion Anaheim Angels
  • 1996 and 2002 SEC Tournament Championships for Mississippi State Basketball
  • 2003 SEC Regular Season Championship for Mississippi State Basketball
  • 2005 NFC Championship for the Seattle Seahawks and Super Bowl XL
  • Numerous Seasons for Mississippi State Baseball, including being in attendance for Mississippi State winning the 2005 SEC Baseball Tournament Championship and being in attendance for every game in helping Mississippi State Baseball get to Omaha by sweeping in the Tallahassee Regional and Starkville Super Regional in 2007
  • Being in attendance as Derek Pegues returned the punt and then watching the kick sail through to put away the Ole Miss Rebels this past November, 17-14!

I am a 27 year old graduate of Salisbury (MD) University, leaving with a B.A. in Journalism/Public Relations and now working for DuPont in Philadelphia. While in college, I played one season of football and then moved on to play club sports and enjoy my remaining college years. I have always been a huge fan of all the Philadelphia sports teams, both college and pro. College basketball, however, has always been my favorite. I can remember being only in middle school and filling out my mock brackets to compare to the one revealed on Selection Sunday. For the last 7-8 years I've followed the Atlantic 10 and Big East very closely, largely due to the amount of local teams. Every January, the first thing I do at work is put in my vacation days for the first 2 days of the tournament.

My favorite college basketball memory is the run put together by the 2004 Saint Joseph’s Hawks which came to a screaming halt thanks to a John Lucas III three-pointer in the Elite 8. Getting the chance to see them play in person several times made me realize how rare the backcourt of Jameer Nelson and Delonte West was and how it is one that the Big Five may not see again for quite some time. Even Villanova’s backcourt of Kyle Lowery, Allen Ray, and Randy Foye did not impact the game quite the way these two did.

I am a 17 year old sports nut who currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee. I will attend the University of Tennessee-Knoxville next year. I have always been a huge college football and basketball fan, and my favorite team is the Ohio State University.

My favorite college sports moments are Holy Buckeye, Ohio State ending Illinois' undefeated season, and the 2002 National Championship game. Texas beating Southern California to win the national championship in the Rose Bowl is the best game I have ever watched on television. Tennis and basketball have always been hobbies of mine. I love playing sports as much as I like to write and watch them. If you have any further questions or comments, please contact me via e-mail.
